In a newly surfaced audio recording from September 2022, actor Jonathan Majors appears to admit to physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. The recording, obtained by Rolling Stone, captures a conversation between Majors and Jabbari discussing an incident that occurred while they were living together in London.
In the audio, Majors is heard saying, “I’ve never [been] aggressive with a woman before. I’ve never aggressed a woman—I aggressed you.” Jabbari responds, “You strangled me and pushed me against the car,” to which Majors replies, “Yes, all those things are under ‘aggressed’… That’s never happened to me.”
This revelation comes after Majors’ December 2023 conviction for misdemeanor assault and harassment related to a separate incident involving Jabbari in March 2023. Following that conviction, Majors was sentenced to probation and mandated to complete a 52-week domestic violence intervention program.
In March 2024, Jabbari filed a lawsuit against Majors, accusing him of defamation, assault, and battery. The lawsuit detailed multiple instances of alleged abuse, including an incident where Majors allegedly threw her against a car, placed her in a headlock, and repeatedly hit her head against a marble floor while strangling her. This lawsuit was settled in November 2024. Majors has not publicly commented on the newly surfaced recording. His representatives have also not responded to requests for comment regarding these allegations.
